We welcome you to Selezione, our coffee line that gives new meaning to the concepts of quality, control and supply chain. With the coffees of the Selezione line, we aim for excellence never achieved before and we tell, chapter after chapter, face after face, the story that connects a distant coffee plant to the scent of the steaming cup you hold in your hand.
Selezione, the new way of experiencing coffee, has arrived:
Traceability
For our Selezione coffees we chose to travel, personally meet the individual producers and select the very best beans from their harvest. Each Selezione coffee is part of a micro-lot about which we know the entire history: this is how we can ensure genuine traceability - from crop to coffee cup.
Sustainability
Each Selezione coffee involves small-scale production and is sourced from micro-lots of raw material available at the time of purchase. We choose to purchase only from farmers who develop sustainable agricultural practices and initiatives that improve the lives of those who work on the crops and their families.
Limited editions
Each of our coffees is a tribute to the history of each producer and closely tied to the harvest of the exact same lot we selected during our tasting phase: it’s the only way we can offer you an experience which is truly authentic and unique.
Care during roasting
While choosing the finest coffee varieties for our Selezione line, we also defined in our lab a bespoke roasting profile which allows each coffee to express to the full its unique potential regarding taste, aroma and body.

With the Selezione line we’ve adopted an approach that’s all too often left out when telling the story of a coffee - even one that’s high quality and certified. Put simply, it means an Arabica from Brazil becomes Filomena's coffee, and an Arabica from Guatemala becomes Francisco's coffee.
To create the Selezione line we take the utmost care in every stage of the coffee supply chain - from crop to coffee cup. We build relationships of mutual trust with producers and visit the most fascinating destinations in the Coffee Belt to discover the beans that will then be transformed into a fragrant cup of speciality coffee
Going beyond the quality of the coffee
Every Selezione coffee represents much more than the mere results of a season’s work in a distant land. They embody the stories, hard work and successes of small-scale producers who are making a difference and contributing to the development of their local area. One such example is Cafè Delas, the project which the farm Fazenda Mattos Santa Rita, owned by Filomena Estafania Matto is part of, which supports women farmers' by providing the knowledge, resources and voice they need to grow their operations. Or Agri Evolve, an organisation committed to increasing productivity, improving the profits of farmers in Uganda and creating benefits the entire local community. Such projects that embrace a future that is closer to real people, more respectful, and more equitable.
